Tanaz Farzan Danialifar, MD, is Clinical Assistant Professor of Paediatrics, Keck School of Medicine of USC and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Dr Danialifar is a board certified paediatric gastroenterologist with expertise in caring for infants, children, and young adults with a range of gastrointestinal disorders. Dr. Danialifar is the Associate Director of the Gastroenterology Fellowship Program and the associate editor for Continuing Medical Education for the Journal of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition.

This course is designed to empower clinicians with the deep, practical knowledge needed to confidently diagnose and manage Congenital Sucrase-Isomaltase Deficiency with authority.

Module 1. Introduction and Overview of CSID

Module 2.  Medical Treatment of CSID

Module 4. Nutrients at Risk When Following the Low Sucrose/Low Starch Diet

Confidently identify and address key nutrients at risk in both paediatric and adult patients following a restrictive diet. Learn expert strategies for enhancing dietary compliance (like managing social events) and practical tools like easy meal and snack planning for long-term adherence.

Module 5. Case Studies

Apply your integrated knowledge through real-world case studies and a final comprehensive multiple question assessment to solidify your clinical readiness.

This course is prior-approved by the Commission of Dietetic Registration for 2.5 CPEUs. Multidisciplinary clinicians can also claim CPD through their professional governing body. Once completed, receive a Certificate of Completion to proudly display in the clinic or add to your resume.
