Biography
As an academic gastroenterologist and health services researcher, Dr. Chang’s main clinical and research interests are in improving care, quality of life, and patient-provider communications for patients with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) and eosinophilic GI diseases (EGIDs). Her research is supported by the NIH, American College of Gastroenterology, and the Consortium of Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Researchers, and focuses on improving outcomes and understanding patient and provider-level factors that influence in treatment decisions, shared decision making, health technology interventions in EoE care, and patient-centred collaborative research methods.
